In almost all of my research on writing, at some point they tell you to keep a journal or at least a portable scrap book to keep your thoughts and your ideas in order. The purpose of said journal is to have a handy piece of parchment(notebook, paper) handy for when you have a spare moment. Some people use recorders, but I’m one of those people who have an aversion of their own voice (it’s had a bit of an impact on my social life but I’m a listener so I don’t care).
I remind my self now why I had orginally started this blog/journal. It was to keep a record of my writing progress, ideas, changes, struggles, and research that I has or has not helped me. Mainly I wanted to write about the journey of writing, from conception to publication of the newbie would-be writer. (more…)
