I’m at 1,000 words an hour regardless of flow. Thank God! My ultimate Goal is to hit my former stride of 10 page an hour like I used to do in High School. Could you imagine? this book would fly by! 10 pages @ 500 words per page = 5,000 words an hour that I used to do. 
I’d have this book done in 24 days if I only wrote for an hour a day @ 5,000 words an hour; 24hrs or two days if I sat down and really ploughed my way through it. It’s mind boggling what I used to be able to do. (more…)

A Writer’s Path: Is it for me?
I’ve been noticing a lot of things lately that seem to be influencing a writer’s path in my life. I’ve been thinking lately that maybe I’m meant to seriously pursue this option since I’m having such a difficult time finding work. I mean it’s not like I have anything better to do. I would really like to become a best selling novelist one day, to be able to work from home on my own schedule. (more…)
The Trouble With First Drafts
I’m beginning to understand the real truth behind a First Draft being absolute crap. It’s a little disheartening because I sincerely felt that I was getting somewhere. I don’t know if I should keep ploughing through with what I have and alter everything when I reach the 3rd draft or just do the re-write now. Why does this have to be so difficult?
I sent a couple of chapters to a beta reader just to see if it was just me. Turns out my instincts were bang on – Chapter 1 is absolute crap. There were a few other issues that turned up but at least those are easily corrected. There’s also a minor error with the main character – I have to remember that the character needs to grow. There’s no interest in a God Character unless you working from the perspective surrounding said character. Lots of work ahead of me still.
